KOKUYO Smart Ring 25 versus 60: capacity and paper-hole format are separate choices

Smart Ring 60 describes a capacity, not a universal paper size. When choosing a KOKUYO Campus binder, match the paper format and holes before deciding how much material to carry.

The official Japan series page separates B5 26-hole Smart Ring models with 25-sheet capacity, A5 20-hole models with 25-sheet capacity, and B5 26-hole Smart Ring 60 models. It describes covers that fold back like a ring notebook and removable loose-leaf contents.

Listed choice Paper format Capacity
Smart Ring B5 B5-S, 26 holes 25 sheets
Smart Ring A5 A5-S, 20 holes 25 sheets
Smart Ring 60 B5-S, 26 holes 60 sheets

What must travel with you?

Count the active sheets you need for an ordinary day rather than every page you might archive. A slim working binder and a separate archive may serve a different purpose from carrying a whole subject in one binder. That is an organisation choice, not a tested benefit of one model.

If you add dividers, pockets or heavier paper, confirm their effect on usable capacity and closing. A stated sheet count is not permission to force any mixture of inserts into the rings. Nor should the advertised capacity be mistaken for the number of starter sheets supplied by a particular seller.

Keep the refill system consistent

A familiar A5 or B5 label is not enough if the holes do not match. Retain both size and hole count in the refill order. Existing two-hole, three-hole or unpunched paper does not become compatible because it has a similar outer dimension.

We would choose the paper system first, then decide between a small active set and the larger B5 capacity. For a crowded desk, consider whether you prefer the documented fold-back arrangement, and leave enough space for your actual writing hand and materials.
