Wera Tool-Check PLUS 1 versus Imperial 1: 39 pieces does not mean the same sizes

A 39-piece Wera Tool-Check set is not interchangeable with every other 39-piece Tool-Check set. The complete part number and contents answer whether it includes the profiles and sizes you need.

The Tool-Check PLUS 1 page identifies 05049055001. The Imperial 1 page identifies 05049060001. Both list 39 pieces, including a small ratchet, bit-holding screwdriver, holder, adapter, bits and sockets. The Imperial page explicitly identifies imperial socket sizes and Square-Plus/Robertson bits; the PLUS 1 contents include metric hex sizes and Pozidriv entries.

The drive interface is not the working size

A 1/4-inch drive or bit mounting describes the connection within the tool system. It does not mean every working socket is 1/4-inch, or that the set’s hex bits are all imperial. Keep drive interface, fastener profile and working size in separate fields.

Compare Record
Set identity Full 11-digit Wera part number.
Fastener profile For example, the specified PH, PZ, TORX, hex or Robertson profile.
Working size The exact metric or fractional size required.
Holder and intended use Manufacturer compatibility and operating limitations.

Compare a short list of real requirements

Use the documented fastener requirements for the equipment you intend to maintain. Check those against the complete contents list rather than assuming a large total covers them. Duplicate bits and adapters can contribute to a set’s count without adding the missing working size.

The manufacturer describes the cited sockets for non-impact use. A compact ratchet or familiar drive size does not establish suitability for an impact tool, a torque-critical job or live electrical work. This comparison gives no operating or repair procedure.

Our preference would be to choose the set that matches the required profiles and sizes, then consider storage and portability. The common 39-piece headline is a poor shortcut for that decision.
