Silhouette Portrait 4: distinguish the included cutting mat from the optional Electrostatic Mat

The cutting mat listed in a Portrait 4 kit should not be assumed to be the separately described Electrostatic Mat. Product-page demonstrations can show an optional workflow alongside the standard package contents.

The current Silhouette Portrait 4 page lists a cutting mat among its included items. In its Electrostatic Mat description, it explicitly marks that accessory as sold separately. A retailer may offer another bundle, so retain the actual offered inventory rather than infer it from a promotional image.

Write the project list separately from the box list

Project question Package question
Which material and finished size? Which mat is actually included?
Which holding method is documented? Is the required optional accessory named?
Which tool is required? Is that exact tool supplied or separate?

This avoids treating a machine capable of an optional task as a complete ready-to-use kit for that task. It also prevents paying twice for an accessory already included in a clearly specified bundle.

Keep the material conditions

The manufacturer describes the Electrostatic Mat in connection with thin-material handling. That is not evidence that every fabric, textured sheet or thickness will behave identically. Check the exact accessory’s supported materials and operating instructions before making it central to a project plan.

Do not convert the machine’s material clearance into a promise that it can cut every material of that thickness. The blade, material and method have their own requirements. Follow the documented setup; this guide supplies no improvised blade or power procedure.

We would compare bundles using a written list of the machine, mat, tools and intended first project. A clear inventory is more useful than a long feature page when deciding what must be obtained separately and what the standard package already provides.
