The small dimensions under Packaging on a RENSARE listing do not describe the opened capacity of each clothing bag. Keeping that field separate prevents a misleading size comparison with other travel organizers.
The IKEA US RENSARE 104.612.08 record identifies a set of three clothes bags. Its packaging section lists one retail pack at 4¼ inches wide, one inch high and 8¾ inches long. Those are the packaged set’s measurements, not three individual storage compartments.
Separate the listing’s three kinds of information
| Field | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Article number 104.612.08 | Identify this regional set. |
| Clothes bag, set of three | Identify what is being supplied. |
| Packaging measurements | Understand the retail pack; not opened garment capacity. |
IKEA suggests trousers and T-shirts for the large bag and smaller items such as socks for the small bags. That is an organizing example, not a verified garment count for your clothing size or fabric thickness.
Make an opened-bag packing plan
For a set you already own, group the actual clothing and check how the filled bags sit in the luggage. Leave room to reach their openings without removing unrelated equipment. If buying remotely, seek the opened measurements or a clear scale reference when precise fit is essential; do not manufacture that answer from the compact retail dimensions.
Keep clothing organization separate from liquid containment. A bag used to group toiletries is not automatically a leakproof case. Follow the actual care label for cleaning; the US record lists a cold machine-wash cycle and low tumble drying, with no ironing.
We would retain the regional article number and the opened arrangement with the travel kit. That makes later replacement or comparison more reliable than matching only the RENSARE family name, especially when a seller is using pictures of an earlier version.
IKEA US record read 25 October 2026. No volume, zipper, wash, garment-fit or leakage test. No individual open-bag dimensions inferred. Related: buying guides.
