Nespresso Aeroccino 4 feedback: easy cleanup does not settle the foam question

Someone can like an Aeroccino 4’s size and cleaning routine while disliking the foam it produces. That combination appears in the owner discussions, so convenience and drink preference deserve separate places in a buying decision.

In a 2026 frother discussion, an Aeroccino 4 respondent reports nearly 18 months of frequent use with consistent results and easy cleaning. Other replies concern Aeroccino 3 or unrelated frothers; those are not additional Aeroccino 4 tests.

In a different owner’s comparison, the Aeroccino 4 is described favourably for its small size, speed and dishwasher suitability but unfavourably for hot and cold foam. Replies report better foam with other milk choices or other samples. The discussion does not establish which variable explains the disagreement.

Compare the drink you want to make

The official Refresh Model 4194 manual distinguishes cold froth, hot milk, airy cappuccino foam and denser latte-macchiato foam. Its maximum frothing quantity is 120mL; the 240mL maximum is for hot milk, not frothing. Those are input limits, not a promise of a particular finished cup volume.

The manual says foam volume depends on milk type and temperature. That makes the milk, selected mode and desired texture relevant context for an owner account. It does not justify dismissing a dissatisfied buyer as using the product incorrectly, or declaring a defective sample without examining it.

Two questions for the shortlist

First, does the documented preparation match the quantity and texture you want? Second, is the care routine acceptable after every use? A favourable answer to one does not automatically answer the other. Apply the instructions for the exact supplied model, including the electrical-base and cleaning precautions, rather than copy an older model’s routine.

Our assessment would favour a permitted demonstration of the intended drink over a generic claim of café-quality foam. These accounts identify useful expectations, but are not a controlled comparison of milk, preparation mode or device generation.
