For an Audio-Technica AT-LP60X, start a connection comparison with the receiving equipment’s input label, not with the shape of a cable. Two devices can have physically similar sockets while expecting different signal paths.
The AT-LP60X English manual, in its pre-amplifier selector section on printed page 5, maps PHONO output to equipment with a phono input and LINE output to equipment without one, using an AUX or line input. It also lists a PC sound-card line input separately and notes that an adapter may be required. This is the wired AT-LP60X manual, not a promise of Bluetooth or USB output.
Make a complete equipment note
Before buying anything, identify the exact turntable model and the exact receiver, amplifier, active speaker or sound card that will receive its audio. Write down the input’s printed name and consult that device’s own manual. “My speaker has a hole for this plug” is not a complete compatibility check.
Keep the audio input, any required amplification and the connector format as separate fields. A connector adapter can change the physical connection without supplying a missing function. Do not infer that the turntable can directly drive an unspecified pair of passive speakers just because an adapter can be found.
Use the manual’s table as a cross-check
Bring the receiving device’s input description to the AT-LP60X table. If the two descriptions do not clearly match, ask the manufacturer or a qualified dealer about the combination. That is more useful than purchasing a series of cables based on a photograph.
For a computer recording plan, identify an actual line-input path and the recording software requirements. An ordinary computer headphone output is not, by its name, a sound-card line input. The cited turntable manual does not establish what every laptop socket can do.
Keep diagnosis separate from shopping
A low or absent signal is not enough evidence to diagnose a faulty turntable remotely. Preserve the model, selected output and receiving-input details when requesting support. Follow both products’ full connection and safety instructions rather than opening equipment or improvising electrical modifications.
Our buying recommendation is modest: settle the complete input path before spending on accessories. This guide explains the documentation match; it does not rate sound quality, test a system or determine why a particular installation is silent.
