It also contains newer machine tabs. Use the section for the actual machine rather than applying whichever feature list appears first.

Documented example

Explore 4

Maker 4

Premium Fine-Point

Listed

Listed

Scoring Stylus

Listed

Listed

Rotary Blade and Knife Blade

Not in this family list

Listed

QuickSwap tools

Not in this family list

Listed, with QuickSwap Housing

Separate the tip from its housing

The guide lists QuickSwap options including scoring wheels, debossing, engraving, perforation and wavy cutting. It says QuickSwap tips share a QuickSwap Housing. A replacement tip, a tip-and-housing package and an entire machine bundle are therefore different purchases.

The same principle applies to other blade families: a familiar colour or a photograph of a metal housing is not enough to identify compatibility. Retain the complete tool name and the manufacturer’s machine entry.

Plan one real project before buying a large set

For the first intended project, list the material, operation and exact required tool. Then check the manufacturer’s current material instructions, compatible mat and any software conditions. A compatible machine and tool do not establish that every material thickness or every design will work.

Finally compare what the local package actually contains with that project list. A larger accessory count may include duplicates or supplies you do not need, while omitting a housing needed for the intended operation.

We would choose the machine family around required operations, then add the smallest complete set of supported tools. This is a selection method, not a cutting or tool-changing procedure; blades are sharp and Cricut specifies adult use and caution.

Manufacturer compatibility guide checked 24 October 2026.
