For non-protected EPUB or PDF, use Kobo’s supported direct import route. For an ACSM file or Adobe-DRM book, follow the current ADE authorization process on Kobo’s help page; do not expect dragging the file directly to the device to complete authorization. Confirm that the library or retailer permits the selected transfer path, since file format alone does not settle rights or compatibility.

Keep the exact model code, region, and manual revision alongside any compatibility or maintenance decision. A family name alone may cover different configurations, accessories, radio bands, or instructions.

What these sources do not prove

The supported-format page describes the Kobo eReader family and does not guarantee that every file with a listed extension renders correctly, or that a third-party store grants transfer rights.

Adobe Digital Editions is third-party software; Kobo says it cannot guarantee its accessibility features or overall performance, and the sign-in migration instructions can change.

The current U.S. Clara Colour page does not establish a locally sold unit’s contents, retail warranty, price, storage remaining after system files, or library service availability in every country.

This page reports no hands-on testing, measured performance, independent rating, sample of customer reviews, or current market price or stock. Missing market, warranty, ownership, and seller information remains Needs editor verification.

Primary sources

Kobo Clara Colour — eReader product information — Rakuten Kobo official manufacturer source; region and publication/update date may vary; checked 2026-10-05 (Asia/Manila).

File formats your Kobo eReader and Kobo Books app support — Rakuten Kobo official manufacturer product/support source; region and publication/update date may vary; checked 2026-10-05 (Asia/Manila).

Also see the site’s product records, brand source index, and methodology.
