Advertising & Sponsored Content
Commercial partnerships that respect our editorial independence and your trust.
Olive Branch Global Product Reviews is funded in part by carefully governed advertising and sponsorships. This page explains exactly how we work with commercial partners and what we will never sell.
Our Commercial Philosophy
Commercial partnerships help fund our independent product testing and reporting. Sponsorship never influences our conclusions, ratings, rankings, or awards. An absolute firewall separates our editorial team from advertising and sales activity.
Advertising Options
1. Display Advertising
Banner and contextual display ads across Olive Branch site sections. Placement is governed by inventory and optimization rules; sponsors cannot buy ad placement near specific reviews or editorial conclusions.
- Audience reach: Available upon request by region, category, and device.
- Format specs: Standard IAB and custom sizes; final specifications, file formats, and weight limits are provided in our media kit.
2. Sponsored Articles
Brand-authored or co-produced articles published under a clear “Sponsored Content” label. All factual statements and claims are reviewed for accuracy and compliance before publication.
- Audience reach: Typical impressions and engagement ranges are shared during the planning process; no performance guarantees are offered.
- Format specs: Recommended word counts, asset requirements, and headline guidelines are provided in our sponsored content brief.
3. Newsletter Sponsorships
Dedicated or shared placements in editorial newsletters. Sponsors provide creative; we reserve the right to edit, reject, or request revisions to ensure compliance with our standards and applicable laws.
- Audience reach: Distribution and typical open/click ranges are shared during planning; we do not promise minimum performance.
- Format specs: Subject line guidelines, character recommendations, and creative dimensions are outlined in our newsletter spec sheet.
4. Category Sponsorships
Brand association with a product category (for example, “Skincare, supported by [Brand]”). Sponsorship does not affect which products we review, how we score them, or what conclusions we reach.
- Audience reach: Category-level reach and readership profiles are provided as directional guidance only.
- Format specs: Logo treatments, taglines, and on-page placements are agreed in advance and documented in the insertion order.
5. Research Report Partnerships
Co-branded research reports, white papers, or category analyses. Olive Branch alone controls study design, data collection, methodology, interpretation, and final conclusions.
- Audience reach: Distribution strategies are tailored by project; projected reach is shared as directional planning guidance only.
- Format specs: Report length, asset needs, and branding options are defined collaboratively during the scoping phase.

Content Review Process
Every advertising asset and sponsored content proposal goes through a defined review pipeline before publication.
- Submission — Sponsor submits creative concepts, copy, and claims, or a brief for co-produced content.
- Editorial screening — Our editorial standards team screens for accuracy, evidence, tone, and conflicts with existing coverage.
- Legal/compliance check — Where appropriate, content is assessed for compliance with advertising, consumer protection, and sector‑specific regulations.
- Revision requests — We may require edits, substantiation, or removal of claims before we proceed.
- Approval — Once content meets our standards, it is approved for publication.
- Publication with disclosure label — Content is published with prominent sponsorship or partnership labels.
- Post-publication monitoring — We monitor performance, reader feedback, and compliance. We may amend or remove content that no longer meets our standards.
Disclosure Labels
All paid placements must be clearly distinguishable from independent editorial content. We use standardized labels that are easy to see, understand, and recognize across our platforms.
- Sponsored Content — Used for sponsored articles and branded features on our site. The label “Sponsored Content” appears prominently near the title and above the body of the article.
- Paid Partnership — Used for newsletter sponsorships and certain off‑site placements. Where supported, the label appears in the subject line and in the header of the email.
- Category Sponsor — Used where a brand supports coverage of a specific product category. The label appears adjacent to the sponsor’s name or logo.
- Produced in Partnership — Used for co‑branded research reports and similar projects. The label appears alongside a clear methodology description and funding disclosure.
- Disclosure labels are never buried, minimized, obscured, or styled to imitate our independent editorial labels.
Prohibited Claims
We do not publish advertising or sponsored content that includes misleading, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims. The following types of statements are not permitted unless supported by robust, verifiable evidence and, where relevant, regulatory approval.
- Superlative claims such as “best,” “#1,” “top‑rated,” or similar, unless supported by transparent, current, and independently verifiable data.
- “Clinically proven,” “scientifically proven,” or equivalent language without access to high‑quality clinical or scientific evidence that meets accepted standards.
- Implied or explicit promises of guaranteed outcomes (for example, guaranteed earnings, guaranteed weight loss, or guaranteed cure).
- Claims of regulatory endorsement (for example, “approved by [regulator]”) that are inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
- Comparative claims that disparage competitors or suggest superiority without clear, fair, and independently verifiable support.
- Statements that conflict with Olive Branch’s own published testing results, evidence grades, or review conclusions.
What Sponsors Cannot Buy
The following are non‑negotiable. No commercial arrangement, at any price, can override these limits.
- Ratings, scores, rankings, awards, “Best Pick” designations, or favorable editorial conclusions of any kind.
- Claims of superiority over competitors unless independently verified and supported by Olive Branch’s editorial testing or credible third‑party evidence.
- Unsubstantiated or prohibited health, safety, or efficacy claims, including implied clinical or regulatory approval where none exists.
- Content that contradicts our published evidence grades, methodologies, or review conclusions.
- Content designed to mimic our independent review format without explicit and prominent disclosure of sponsorship.
- Influence over whether a product is reviewed, how it is scored, or whether a critical review is published.
Violation of these terms results in immediate content removal and permanent suspension of the partnership.
Editorial Separation
Our editorial independence is absolute. Review and rating decisions are made without knowledge of which brands are current or prospective advertisers.
- The editorial team does not sell advertising, negotiate sponsorships, or carry revenue targets.
- Advertising status does not determine which products are selected for review, how they are tested, or how they are scored.
- Ratings, rankings, awards, and conclusions are finalized before any commercial team contact with the brands involved.
- Editors may publish critical or negative coverage of sponsor products when supported by our evidence and testing.
- Where a covered brand is also a sponsor, we disclose that relationship when it is relevant to reader understanding.
